Fruit N' Brie Tapas
Imagine crispy baguettes pieces, topped with creamy brie, savory nuts, and sweet fruit. Every flavor you want in one bite.
24 pieces of sliced baquettes
2 small onions (chopped)
2 tbsp. unsalted butter
2/4 cup apricot preserves
2/4 cup orange juice
2/3 cup dried cranberries
2/3 cup mixed nuts (cashew, pistachio)
1/2 fresh pineapple (or your fruit of choice)
1 wheel brie cheese
Cut your baguette into 24 pieces. Cut your brie wheel into 24 pieces (roughly the same size as the baguette piece.
Brush your baguettes with oil and put in the oven at 350F for 10 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
Once lightly golden brown, take the pieces out. Let them cool until your preserved mixture is done. You will be adding a piece of brie cheese to each baguette piece and putting them back into the oven until soft.
In a saucepan, combine butter, onion, apricot preserves, and orange juice until well combined.
Add in cranberries and nuts into the mixture and cover for 2 minutes.
Use a knife to cut off the rind of the brie and place onto the pieces of baguettes. Put into the oven until soft.
Once the brie is soft, take them out, and spoon on your mixture.
Garnish with fresh fruit, sweet herbs, or more nuts to your liking.
